Bloom Again Foundation Receives $50,000 Grant from the California Wellness Foundation

Bloom Again Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting economically vulnerable working women faced with health crises, today announced a new grant of $50,000 from the California Wellness Foundation. The Foundation’s generous contribution supports Bloom Again’s vision for expanding their efforts nationally in areas with great need for the cause, and hiring a new Executive Director, Eleanor Beasley.

The California Wellness Foundation’s vision is largely aligned with Bloom Again’s commitment for bridging the gap between women receiving the access and quality care necessary to maintain their health in times of duress and the chance to have time off from work to heal properly. With the support of this donation for the organization’s first executive director, Ms. Beasley’s position enables her to make Bloom Again’s vision of expansion and improving relations with strategic partners in the community a reality.

“My vision for this organization has always been to take it to the national level,” said Dr. Lois Frankel, founder of Bloom Again. “The need for bridging the financial gap for economically vulnerable working women who encounter medical challenges continues to grow, and the Foundation’s grant really helps us make assisting women in need possible.”

Under the leadership of Bloom Again’s new executive director, Ms. Beasley, the organization will continue to enhance their relationships with existing and prospective strategic partnerships, expand throughout the nation and better serve its community at large. Currently based in Pasadena, Bloom Again is planning its expansion in other locations on the coast, as well as establishing a chapter in New Jersey.

Ms. Beasley is a community servant who was a founding board member of Bloom Again, serving on its board for six years. With more than 25 years of expertise with nonprofit organizations, Ms. Beasley is a board chairwoman of the YWCA Greater Los Angeles board of directors and the vice chair of the Crystal Stairs, Inc. board of directors.

About the Bloom Again Foundation

The mission of Bloom Again Foundation is to provide rapid response financial assistance to economically vulnerable working women when they need it most due to personal or family medical challenges.
